گیرندهٔ چشایی نوع ۲، عضو ۳۸ (انگلیسی: Taste receptor type 2 member 38) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «TAS2R38» کُدگذاری میشود.
این ژن و پروتئینش در حسِ چشایی در انسان و شناخت مزهتلخی نقش دارند. ژنوتیپ متفاوت این ژن سبب میشود تا انسان مزهٔ فنیلتیوکربامید[۴][۵] و ۶-اِن-پروپیل تیواوراسیل[۶] را تشخیص دهد. با آنکه به نظر میرسد تفاوتهای ژنوتیپ گیرندهها در توانایی انسان در تشخیص مزههای گوناگون مؤثر باشد، گیرندهٔ TAS2R38، تنها گیرندهای است که چنین عملکرد متفاوتی از خود نشان دادهاست.[۷]
